Biametrics GmbH and DITABIS AG combine core competencies for providing all-in solutions for low-cost label-free analysis to OEM customers
December 01, 2009: Biametrics GmbH, Tübingen and DITABIS AG, Pforzheim announce that both companies want to combine their core competencies for performing selected development projects and instrument production for customers.
Within the scope of the cooperation, Biametrics and DITABIS intend to offer their customers of the sectors pharmaceutical research, human medicine, veterinary medicine, food production and life sciences primarily more comprehensive cooperation projects, realized with the combined input of their technological abilities and capacities. This enables both parties to take a leading position in the competition of the providers of “label-free detection” systems.
Dr. Günther Proll, CEO of Biametrics GmbH, explained the cooperation: “Labelled detection methods in bioanalytical chemistry are not unproblematic since they affect the natural activities of the biomolecules to be analysed. The reflectometric interference sensor systems work label-free but reach a very low detection limit anyway. In comparison with the conventional methods, the more simple analysing methods are quicker, more robust and cheaper at the same time. With DITABIS and their long-time experience in developing and producing low-cost instruments and analysing systems, we found the perfect partner for the successful marketing of our technology.”
